Speakers? What would you recommend?

I am looking to replace my car speakers for x-mas. First off, I was wondering if anyone knew what the speaker size for a 36 '97 318i. I've seen sites telling me the size is 5.25" and another saying it's 6x9". So does anyone know what it is definitely. So back to the speakers. I was looking to get 3-way speakers and maybe replace the midranges and tweeters upfront. What speakers would you recommend that produce good sound quality?

well I don't know about the front speakers but the rears you can get an adapter to put some 6/9 in the rear which is better than we have right now, I have been checking around and I found some nice boston speakers I think the model is nx70 or something like that they have some bass, check them out they are about $200.00 which in my opinion is fairly good I mean I don't have the money to be buying 500 dollar speakers or anything like that, but I bet some people can recomend some nice ones, just go to a shop and listen to what they have that's the way I did it, and then go on line and check for price, anyway good luck.

i would either go for Focal, Mb Quarts, Boston Acoustic or DinnAudio....im runnning Boston Acoustic all around wit 2 Focal Tweeters....sounds pretty good to me

I was lookin at the 3-way pioneer 6X9's for $99. Are they good?

Pioneer Elite is really good. Not quite MB or Focal level. However, Pioneer is a solid name in audio.
