| NRM, i think you are talking about the JL W7 series, i've never personally heard them but the only bad thing i've read about them is their price. I have heard the JL 12W6v2 and they sounded very nice, good combo of tightness while still getting loud.

| first off you'll need some serious ass kicking amps to power a W7. theres a guy at a loca stereo shop who had one in a custom box in the back of his new style blazer with 2 1000 watt rockford amps pushing. stood about 10 feet away from the truck while he cranked it up for me and it felt like i was sitting in the passenger seat. the soundwaves were just pounding me and my friend at that distance!! on a side note, the 12W6's sound great as well and are an ok price. you get JL and you get quality |

| My 12W6 has lasted me 5 (going on 6) years now. Still sounds great.

| The W6's are great subs, and the W7 is even better....but you do NOT need a shit load of power to run them......I believe the RMS is only 500 watts. You will have a hard time finding a better sub than the W7......it is at the top of its class......but it is expensive........comparable subs........Brahma and RE XXX. Cadence makes great amps....I have the A7hc.....1400 watts RMS at 1 ohm.....$400 new. Also look into Crossfire BMF 1000's.....you can get them used for $225.
