| you are probably maximizing the subs at the 60 level. if you want it all to be equal....or more in proportion..lower the gain on your mids/highs amp just a bit... see if that helps.. btw..your running 60wrms to your sub!!! not too sure what the specs are for your sub.... but 60w sounds like underpowering it.

| I'll try setting my other gain down, but I don't really want to since they don't distort up to 80 (with a good clean CD). The subs aren't really underpowered, the can run down to 50w RMS without any problems. ![]() I'll get a better amp on em someday... |

| you set your gains by matching the level of voltage output out of your HU with the input sens. of your amp. this can be done using an O-scope or by using your ears. If you match the two at the same level then your amp will not clip and seeing that you do not have much power you will lack bass alot. U can clip your gains in a 4:1 ratio for subs and audiable distrotion will still be sumwhat low and bass sould be loud. If you want better SQ goto a 2:1 or 3:1 for more bass. If the words above make no sense at all then goto this website: http://totoro.efiregate.net/HTMLPage...ainSetting.htm ya.. car audio is a bitch but the more you learn the easier/ funner it becomes lol good luck! |
