Radio Code

Just installed a dinan chip today and had to disconnect the battery. Anyways I called up the guy i bought the car from and he doesn't remember the radio code. What are my options?

get it from BMW dealer, its free
tell them you had a dead batt and need the radio code...they might give you a # to call...and then you prove you are the owner of the car

do they actually have to touch the car? or do they just give u instructions on what to do

Try to take out the radio. see if the code is hiden there.
mine is. or u would have to go get dealer's help.

They put mine in the leather owners manual when I bought my car. It is a credit card size piece of paper

just out of curiosity...what is your code? I want to see how rendom they are. mine is 21214

you can get the code right off the radio itself. Press the M button for about 30-40 seconds when turning on the radio, then the code will be on the display panel of the radio.

if anyone wants to steal my factory radio...then go right ahead. I just don't think anyone would go through the trouble for that though!!

That comes up with the serial #, not the 5 digit code, dealer has to put the serial # into one of their computers to get the code
