| just take the radio out yourself, it's easy, you just need the special tool ($10-15 at the stealer) and you remove the radio... then take it in to the dealer and they will look it up on the computer, free of charge. |

| The only way to get the radio out is to jack it like the theives, meaning doing something bad. You need the "special tool".. Ohh yeah, and the dealer can get you the Code without looking at the serial, all he has to do is get your Proof of ownership (registration, etc.) and vin number. No problem.

| you dont need a special tool. mine came out with a small allen head or one of those star head tools. dont remember which one though. give it a shot.

| Same thing happened to me when we replaced the batter, i remember there being a way to get the code that the dealership needs to get the code without taking out the radio, but i don't remember. We ended up just taking it to the dealership and they had the code before the guy at the desk could charge us for it so they did it for free. |
