| Those bandpass boxes are hella dodgy, and Im speaking from experience. The one I had was made from chipboard and was very easy to pull apart. As dallasdriver said boxes are made out of MDF, which can be picked up from nearly any hardware store. For building a sub box I would recommend anything thicker than 12mm MDF - and my current sub box was built out of 25mm MDF Its a heavy bitch Good luck with the construction Laterz, Anthony

| Yes, use 3/4" MDF. or for more strength use MDF and wrap it in two TIGHT layers of fiberglass. Make sure if you have two subs the are completely sealed from each other if you are using a ported or sealed box. Ordered or bandpass boxes are ok, but I prefer sealed. hard hit and with the right contruction and sub choice, low bass. I actually use very little wood (1/2" mdf for the the bottom so it's flat on the floor and the sub ring is 1/2" as well) the rest is fiberglass with some carbon fiber.

| Just for clarification... and to avoid the big waste of time that I went through, you want medium density fiber wood. Not particle board, which some stiff at a hardware store gave me. My fault for not knowing, but nevertheless.... the fiberwood is sawdust mixed with glue... one can get an amazing finish with it. |
