Where to hard wire a switched power source?

I have a 98 M3

Anyone know where I can get a switched power source from to hardwire my Valentine 1 radar detector in?

I took a peek under neath the dash and realized it wasnt going to be easy. Anyone know of any good places to hard wire it to?

Try the power source for your sunroof motor, if you have one? Then you can mount near the mirror without a lot of wire.
