| Door Speakers -- Problem or Normal? When I play music at 1/4 or more of the Volume Dial, the Bass rattles the speakers in the door. I can hear the rattling outside more than the music even when my windows are down. Is everyone's car like this or is it just mine? Can I upgrade the speakers and will it resolve the problem? Can it be that the door can not handle the bass? What speakers are good to buy to replace them? What is the difference between a subwoofer and speaker? I drive a 1995 BMW 2dr M3. Thanks. |

| You might want you yank the door off and make sure nothing is broken or hanging free behind the panel and rattleing against the metal. On my 95 M3 the tweeter and mid are high up on the door and the midbass is down in the kick. The midrange shouldn't be producing a enough bass to rattle the door. If it is then something not hooked up right with your crossovers. A qualified installer should be able to diagnose the problem for you if you don't mind spending a few bucks. Trev |
