| How do you reset the factory radio withOUT the code? A friend of mine is the second owner of a '93 325 with a factory radio. His battery died recently, and after getting a jump his radio won't work. It's asking for a code, which he doesn't have since all the new car info is long gone. SO, is there a way to get the radio working again, or is he SOL? Any help will be appreciated by both of us, him because he'll have a radio, and me 'cause I won't have to listen to him bitching about it anymore.

| If you continue to have problems with your local dealer, call this number. 305 256 2360 Ask for Paul McGlaughlin, he is the parts specialist at South Motors BMW. You will have to give him the code on the side of the radio, so have it ready. The code is 3 letters and (I think) 6 numbers XXX-XXXXXX. Tell him that Ben Carter gave you his number. Also ask him (if you are interested in buying parts) about an "internet group" discount, it rules. Ben

| Ok, I might sound crazy, but I read this at this forum. If you leave your radio in the freezer for 30 mins, it'll reset the memory of the old code. Now I haven't done this so I don't know if you just enter another code in to replace the old one. Try it, I would. ![]() |
