looking for a pair of speakers for about $300

what do you guys recomend, there going in my bedroom, music only. + or - $300 but not to much more. size dosent matter realy. my room is 12'x13'

Check out Boston Acoustics CR65. About $300/pair. Very nice sound. Good bass for their size.

Yea, BA's are no doubt good speakers, but i dunno about the bass thing. i own a pair of CR6's and while they sounded great, the bass drop off was too high for my tastes. If i were you, i would listen to so Polk Audio's RT35i's. I've heard the RT600i and if the RT35i as good with bass as the RT600i, then it will suite your needs perfectly.

I've been around BOSE for years and never bought a set until I heard them personally in a HI-FI store. I was always saying, I'll never buy BOSE.. all they have is good advertizing.. not me... I started to look for a set of B&W 602's but the price was not in my budget. I finally settled withe he BOSE. I was really suprized of the outcome.. I love it... Check out Consumer reports magazine, they are #2 for Bookshelf speakers, only to be beat by Pioneers...

Before them, I've been using a set of ROCK SOLID Monitors, made by B&W loudspeakers. These are by far the best monitor speakers I've heard. They are not made anymore. Good luck finding them.

I love my setup. ROCK SOLIDS, BOSE 301 IV's, and a CV 10 SUB. Powered by a YAMAHA Reciever.

Bose has a nasty habit of suing magazines that post unfavorable (accurate) reviews of their products, that would likely explain that rating. Some people like that undynamic, droany Bose sound, personally I can't listen to them without a bottle of aspirin nearby. Bose has some very talented people in their marketing team, they could sell dog food as a delicacy.

get a pair of pionner stand ups. they are mini tower speakers. i got them from costco, i dont know if you have a costco there, but it only cost me 150 bucks. and it kills my 400 dollar bose speakers
