| How do I change front speakers? I bought some new speakers cause my other ones blew and I want to know how to change them so I don't have to bend over for good guys to install it or something. I have been looking at it and am clueless, so if you can give me a website, or tell me how, I would greatly appreciate it, thanx! BTW, I have a 93 325i.

| Ok,,,,, 1.) How did the speakers "blow"? 2.) What did you get to replace them with? 3.) What System was in the car before? (HK, std stereo)? 4.) What is powering the speakers? ( Alpine head unit, Outboard amp, Factory amp)? We need more data to help you out. Rich

| All i want to do is change the speakers, I got some new JBL's and I had bose. I blew them from playing too loud, plus it was just there time, how else would it happen, comon? Anywayz, got stock amp powering them, i think, that shouldn't matter, just need to replace speaker, thats it, L8!

| I always thought that Bose speakers weren't compatable with anything other than a Bose amp. It was due to the speakers having a very low impedance. ( the Bose system I used to have the speakers were .25 ohms, that's right .25 ohms.) Using those speakers with any other amp would fry the amp, trying to draw too much current. Anyway, Do you have speakers in the kick panels by your feet? They are 5 1/2" If you have 2 speakers in the door, one is 3 and the other is a 1" tweeter. If you don't already have one, I highly recomend you get a Bently service manual, Even the Haynes will show how to get to the kick panels and remove the door panels for speaker replacement.

| your gonna need a dremel tool if you want to get a midrange up in the door panel, the tweeter should fit fine and the kickpanel should as well but if it doesnt just trim away some metal til it fits. other than that taking the door panel off is easy there are two screws underneath the doorhandle (you will need a hex key but I forget what # at the moment - sorry) |

| well I don't know for sure if I do have a bose amp, but I do for sure have bose speakers. I have 2 speakers at the "kickpanel", and the bottem by the footrest, one on drive side, one on passanger. I also have a tweeter on the door panel to the left of steering wheel, but that works great. So, if there is a website w/ pics or an extensive instructions, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
