Radio Code?

I have a 94bmw 325is and I had to replace the battery now my radio will not work because it needs the code.. I never got the code when I bought it.. Anyone know a master code or were I can get my code from? hehe.. dont laugh!!!

I hate to tell you this, but you gotta go the the dealer. He'll get the code for you, and I am pretty sure that that is the only way. Try and get it for free, but he'll probably charge you

....can get it. The key is that you have to remove the stereo head unit to get the S/N. Then, you have to contact BMW NA to get the code.

yes. remove the headunit and get the serial number and part number and call your dealer where you bought the car from and they can get the code for you.

I did this before as the intial code the dealer gave me was wrong. And two years later after having disconnected the battery I needed the code. And the dealer was able to find the real code for me.

If you've never done this before, it's a PITA job if you don't have the right key. Don't try it with a allen wrench or you'll strip the little screws holding in the radio. I went to the deale,r they took it out for me for free.

Keep looking around, some dealers give you the code for free. It's also in the back of your owners manual if you still have that

I had absolutely no problem removing my headunit. I justed a very small flathead screw driver and was able to remove the screws without any struggle.

Kudos to you then. My headunit didn't want to come out at all.
