radio turns off

i have the stock alpine radio on my e36 m3 and it randomly turns off by itself. i have to punch in the code every other minute and now the fm/am wont work at all just the tape and cd.. anyone know what the problem is? thanks.

Take out the deck, turn on the power, and start wiggling shit around @ the harness. Maybe even shake the deck to see if you can replicate the failure. My guess is a loose ground or +/ign lead. (also check your fuses for looseness/general weirdness, its a longshot, but possible) If the harness or the antenna connection isn't loose, your deck may be shot. Test it on an isolated 12v system to be sure(bench test)
