need radio help on my 95 325i

just got a 325i and it came with no radio so i put in a kenwood and everything works except theres no sound coming out. buddy of mine from work said i had to bypass the factory amps with some wire harness i had to buy. is this true if so anyone know where i can buy the harness from.

How did you wire up the Kenwood? Did you use a plug kit that goes right into the factory plug?

no i didn't buy a plug kit. I just match and connected the wires to the kenwood wire harness. Do i need to buy a kit and if so where can i buy one at?

don't need a plug kit at all, was just wondering how you installed it.

Did you connect the remote turn on wire from the headunit to the right wire in the car? It should be a Blue or Blue/White (verify with headunit installation guide) and in the car it should be a white wire (again verify with meter, etc).

cool it worked thanks for the help. now i got to get some speakers cause all of em are messed up.
