FRONT 6 or 6.5 inch speakers in e30 ?

Looking to upgrade my sounds. The factory speakers and enclosures in the front kick panels are 5 1/4 inch.I have heard you can fit 6 or 6.5 inch speakers in the front kick panels of an e30 and you just need some "modifying". How exactly do you do this? would anyone else like to share what they did, photos would be great

i too was wondering this but i have a 95 325i 4 door and mine look to be 5 1/4 or smaller if u find out let me know.
