| no not really. but i do trust alpine cause for a while they did make their speakers, cd changers and subs. its a good brand name. just go to any electronics store or E-bay and check em out. if you're doing subwoofer and amplifier - stick to JL audio and Alpine.

get and aftermarket deck with ipod support. find one you like on crutchfield and then find it cheaper somewhere else. alpine products are not very good these days, i do trust the headunits however. there are hundreds of good subwoofer brands, if you care to know about ICE go to the bimmerforums car audio section... |

| iPhone / Stereo question I finally found exactly what I was looking for to hole my iPhone. It's a 3-in-1 contraption that plugs in to the lighter outlet and holds and charges the iPhone, plays iPod songs through a FM transmitter, and acts as a hands-free devise (when I get a call it plays through my stereo speakers). My problem is that when I play songs through the FM transmitter, it's picking up some engine interference. As the RPMs go up the noise goes up. Sounds just like a dentist drill. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the noise? __________________________________________________ ________________ seo agency Keyword Tool |

| It's alternator whine, you won't be able to get rid of the sound, the transmitter is picking up the frequency of Alternator Current, you're stuck with it... Unless you somehow customize the ipod cables to be directly connected into an input on the HU via some nifty wiring from the headphones, but of course, it's better to use CD's/MP3's IMO

| I'll second the Alpine movement ![]() I have a 9887 and an Ipod cable to run music from the ipod. I have filed a hole in the rear of my glove box, just big enough to poke the ipod cable through and have attached an elastic strap on the inside of the glove box to hold the ipod. Works well so far, and the Ipod is not on show when I leave my car. Whatever route you choose (be it alpine or bmw cd player) stay away from wireless FM transmitters for your Ipod. The sound quality is cruddy enough when you play mp3's lower than 256kbps, no need to add wireless interference to it as well. |

| I recently put the JVC KD-AVX44 "El-Kameleon" in my e36....it is a perfect fit got it from Crutchfield.com it is in dash DVD player, with iPod hook up and iPod controls on the unit itself full color unit with color change options CD and mp3 player as well as plays bluetooth songs off of your cell phone its rockin dude, very worth looking into MTX or Kicker are my favorite subwoofer options because they are good quality but affordable.......I had dual MTX Roadthunders in my hunting truck and shattered two windows out of the truck (I also had good mid ranges too and extra power pumped to them) Best mid range options are metal cone pioneers, great response from those bad boys tweeter options are Sony xPlode (youll love them) but thats just my 10 cents worth......in my truck my sound system was well into the 2k range and was rated at "outlaw class" competition level Last edited by SchwarzUndBlau : 05-26-2009 at 05:01 AM. |
