in car tv

hey all, just picked my self up a 97 e39 540 and i wanted to know if there is some way of making the in car tv work while your driveing, is there a module you can buy or some thing??? would be handy if the kids could see the thing

The BMW's have a Bus system which will detect vehicle current speed and handbrake status. This is relative to the operation of the TV unit. It has to be reprogrammed. I am unfortunately not sure of who does this, but there will be people out there somewhere.

the car tv is far from the In dash DVD player which you can control
