I did notice i blew a fuse inder the hood could i have blown one else ware? When I try playing a cd the head unit says its playing it but no sound any suggestions? |

| Is the cd playing but making no sound? if so.... You probably used the Blue to power up the factory amp. Connected to a white wire in the car. This is the power antenna wire, thus the radio works, but not the cd player. Use the Blue/white wire instead.

| Ive noticed over the years that some stereo companys have power turn-on wires in EITHER blue or blue/white......bastards. It threw me for a loop last time I did an install for somone...I was lookin at the amp dumbfounded.....turn on lead was blue/white, but no amp power....traced grounds....power.....fuses.....everything checked out ok.......WTF!?!?!?!?......out of curiosity I jumped the power to the power turn-on on the amp.....fired right up......the lead was unbroken all the way back up to the head unit.....so I switched the turn on wire to the blue wire on the HU wire harness....Bingo!!!! But in most cases, HU harness power turn on is Blue/white stripe. just thought id share my horror story ![]()
