| Well... the amp is definitely not the weak point because it sounds great and provides a high power response to the subwoofer. Like I said, it's about the 12W6 versus the Alpine Type R DVC 12", and I want to distinguish which one is better through people's experiences... |

| I had a Type R 12" in my old 92 325i...didnt push a lot of power to it and it still hit pretty hard. Its a nice sub to go low, but I liked the fact that it would hit really tight when I needed it to. Didnt have a comparison to the W6, but I was impressed with the Type R, especially for the money. | i like jl so im gonna stick with the w3. now the amp is not bad at all i have a 250.2 bridged running my 12w3 but i do like jl's new 500watt mono amp and im prob gonna end up getting a nakamichi 400 watt sub amp to match my front naka amp. but that amp is def good the type r's just seem like there more flash and a name
