cigarette lighter wiring

for the cigarette lighter in my e36 M3, theres a brownish wire and a black/red with white dashes coming from it. which one is power and which one is ground? thanks

Solid Brown is almost always ground in German vehicles.

Brown w/ stripe, may not be though.

Also, the center contact is +, the sleeve of the cig lighter is -.
