| the shop that did my car has done several, including an e30 and some other 2 door e36. i'll try to get them to e-mail me the pics, they do look sick. they fiberglassed 3 12's 4 6.5's, and trimmed it out with leather. and glassed the amps in the trunk.. very nice set up. i would love to do it in my car, but can't bring myself to rip into the car that much. besides you can get some serious sound from the trunk. |

| ok but does alot of bass coming from the boot shake the hell out of it? i really dont want a ratteling sound when i turn up the doof! lol you know what i mean

| couldn't tell ya, mine hits way way too hard to hear a pesky lil rattle. i have a alpine 7998, 2 planet audio 2250 D amps driving 2 rockford t2 power 12's in custom glass box. and 4 planet audio 6.5" components with the crossovers in the door, and under the convert box. in stock location with baffles. running off a planet 400.4 amp. i'm sure it does rattle a fair bit, because my deck lid jumps to the beat, but you'll never hear it, i promise. i would only consider loading up your seat if you wanna have a show piece.. |

| yeah i was planning to do somthing along those lines to just do something differnent, but have u heard your car outside of it? i remember my brother only had on 12" sub in his boot of his vl and it rattled like crazy, but you never heard it inside the car. but vl's are known for there shitty boot conpartments. well i dont mind ripping into it.. i can always put it back lol, plus i probly wont have rear passengers so the back seats will be useless

| In the last 6 months ive had 2 x 12" subs then 1 x 15" comp sub and now 1 x 12" sub in my boot and the only thing that rattles is my plate and the rear speakers fall out from time to time (being fixed this w/e) If you find your getting rattles buy some dynamat line the boot with that and you'l be fine

I don't think people from the states know what a VL is. Heres some info for the guys, its basically Australian's version of the skyline! VL Commodore Australia best car ever (well race record), the only all Australian car (in V8 form) to ever win international group A races in europe vs Europen supercars and the like. eg Monza Italy 1987 Loved by some, hated by others (by both import and domestic car fans) due to the fact of the engine it uses -- In 6cyl form it uses the same engine as the Austalian built R31 Skyline the RB30E. Skyline/import people loath it due to the fact you can put any late model Nissan Skyline engine into it and beat the car the engine came out (R32, R33, R34 Skylines) of due to the VL's lighter body weight. Standard VL's are slightly handicapped by a taller diff ratio compared to the standard R31, thus a slower acceleration, but this can easily fixed. Also produced in a 6cyl turbo (RB30ET)form that was not alowed to race (stupid Nissan), which still is a very potent car even by todays standards due to its power to weight ratio. This engine was never released in the R31's body or any other car in the world infact. The standard styling, while still looking neat and sporty never set the world on fire. The upmarket Calais with its popup headlight flaps looked a much better car is still are a very popular (and rare) car. The international Group A version (Austrlian V8), the VL Walkinshaw is even rarer, and will still fetch the same price as the day it rolled of the showroom floor...

| lol.. i think im one of the people that hate it... besides the walkinshaw... my bosses brother owns one, its number 750! the last one ever made, he NEVER drives it.. but he took me and my girlfriend to our formal (prom) in it! he hopes in another 12-13 years when its classified as a "classic" car that it will get him $130,000-$150,000. ill see if i can get pics of it anyway modrod, can you get me pics of any of those set ups please?

| How old are you! I drive a 1991 318is and have one 12 pushing 1000W in a SUPER PRO BOX the only raddle i experienced when listening from outside was the trunk so what i did is tighten up the trunk connection and that eliminated all raddle.... you are going to want that back seat I swear to you!!!!!!! that back seat will come in handy when you want to lay down with a girl!!!!!!

| Hmm the VL only won races because of the drivers IMO... hmm unless your looking for show which it sounds like you are, i'd stick with keeping the back seats... there are quite a few cars with this mod in "Performance BMW' if you collect it... but they dont really elaborate on how its done.

| i was wondering what you were looking for as far as the back seat goes. if you can think it up someone can make it. i work in a custom shop and thats all we do all day long is stuff like that. NW Audio first you have to know what you want to put in the car. from there its just making it work. |
