| car pc
righto guys its getting closer to the end of the year... and that means i have to seriously start thinking about upgrading my incar entertainment...
righto so far i have a blaupunkt bahamas mp46 and thats cruisin along nicely with the custom sub box and all BUT incar pc must come!
bein an e36 i've decided to get a 7" touchscreen and mount it in the bottom 2 DIN slots and hook it up to a pentium 4 pc running either windows vista or media centre(ill test both out and see which works best for me!) since the pc will have to be in the boot(i use the glovebox to store things so no pc in there!) i will have to think of the practicality of running 5m extension cables for the screen... im lookin at getting a FM modulator to transmit the music easily to my HU, If you guys have better ideas please tell me. Besides that question i would also like to ask if anyone knows of antivibration methods and what sorta of gps system i coud run on a windows pc? wish me luck! (even though its another few months before anything will seriously happen!) oh and i havent yet gone to my local audio specialist so i might do that this week sometime, the guys there are quite good and being blaupunkt specialists i have feeling the end result will be a tad expensive but of good quality.
ALSO! has anyone experienced any veiwing troubles with having the screen so low? i have thought about every circumstance already and there are a few and ive decided that with so many that could be the deciding factor with the whole project.
