E36 M3 Amp Harness

Ok, I'm having a stupid moment here, but I can't seem to get the post-amp harness unplugged from my stock amp. it's a 95 M3 (3/95), doesn't say H/K anywhere so I guess it's not. Looks to be a 12 pin? It seems to have clips on either end which I push in as I pull up, but it won't move. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.
