| cheapest dynamat just thought I'd post this for anybody who has been looking to soundproof their baby.
Truck bed liner goes for around $30 dollars a gallon and is sprayable or brushable
don't get the aerosol cans as the tips clog and they're more expensive. If you have a day to spend, the most rattle comes from the trunk lid, and the trunk lid latch for exterior noise. paint your trunk lid and try to get into the void space where the locking mechanism is located as that's where some of the flimsiest metal is.
most of the interior rattles come from the rear deck. thats a whole different project. if you seal up the holes that go from the rear deck to trunk ( i used pieces of metal and carpet bolted together) 80% of the interior rattle is eliminated. if you truck-bed-line the rear deck and then stuff cotton (tear apart an old comforter) in between the rear deck and the framing of the car, where you sealed up the hole. I'll try to post pictures as soon as I can.
Sorry if this sounds complicated but it's not.
