| whats your opinion on this deck? Well i've been checking out a few different cd players lately because my 2 year old panasonic mxe is starting to give me problems(likes to switch source when i hit any button sometimes) and so far im leaning towards this ECLIPSE deck from crutchfield. Figured i'd see what you thought about this before i went and purchased it or if i could get your recommendations on a different deck for around 350ish. heres the one im looking at so far: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-2dSQ7hm...00&I=099CD4000

| Based on my experience, I'd recommend these. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ZcBR8Sd...0&I=158CDXF605 One of the best sounding radio's you can buy right now, and its under $300. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ZcBR8Sd...0&I=113KDCX790 Very nice player, Lots of nice features http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ZcBR8Sd...0&I=500CDA9857 Great build and sound quality. The Eclipse you were looking at isn't a bad unit, but it looks like a carnival with the lights and all. The JVC is a POS. The screen looks horrible too. See one in person any you'll agree.

I mean all the time. Its a poor quality screen and has very poor off-axis viewing resolution, the screen goes "negative" at a relatively low angle. Basically, when its in the dash, if you do not have a direct line of sight, it look like crap.

| That Eclipse would be a excellent choice, because the high volt preamp outputs will make clean sound.Alpine has some real nice decks but in my opinion there way over priced.Honestly I've always went with Clarion love the quality and features.

| Can anyone confirm that any of those choices will BOTH display amber buttons while displaying an all amber screen. That is hands down my biggest concern, next is sound quality. I had an older Alpine 7998, the best deck (sound quality and features) I have ever owned or operated. But the scrolling blue digits made me sell it. The only reason it lasted the full 6 months in my car was becuase it had an all "blackout" feature, so it appeared that it was turned off while it was playing. But guess what, when it comes time to change tracks/stations, you have to stumble to find the button.
