Use the money to finish high school and learn to spell.

Do some research and go to shops in your area and listen to different subwoofers. When you find the best bang for the buck, buy it.

I'd highly recommend the Boston Acoustic G5 subwoofer. $399 each and they move more air than the L7 12".

Kicker speakers have a lot of surface area, but very little excursion. Sound is produced when the woofer's cone moves air, the combination of surface area and excursion (how far it travels) deturmines the louder woofer.

Oh........ Please post questions like this in the car audio section next time.

After everyone has left the stereo shop, throw a midget through the store window and viola!!! Anything you want in there, for free.

I would suggest saving your money. Really, how in the world are you going to benefit from this. Other than rattleing parts of an already old car, not being mean, I love E30's, but it is the truth. Buy a nice MB Quart component kit and maybe like one eight in a bandpass enclosure. You could use a couple of smaller amps and be happier. Unless you are a useless "basshead", and if that is the case you should sell your car and buy an older model Civic, you don't deserve to ride behind the roundel.

Oh, and the impedence on Kickers speakers fluctuates. Bad for lots o' amps, they can and will cut off.

This was true as of a few years ago, they may have changed it by now.

Every speaker's impedance changes during its normal cycle. All speaker's nominal impedance is measured at rest.

The ability of an amplifier to dampen the differences in the impedance (dampening factor) is what allows the amplifier's circuitry to product power without seeing close to a dead short (or a very low impedance seen at high excursions).

Better quality amps have better dampening factors.

I thought Kickers would fluctuate way too much, is that not true.

As a speaker moves, the position of the coil in the magnetic gap will make its impedance fluctuate. if anything, actually, Kicker woofers' impedance wopuld change less than others, since their woofers have less excursion than other woofers.

Get the new Kicker L7s they sound real good. I got a friend you might be selling some but he doesn't know yet. You can get two brand new ones off ebay for a real good deal.

Do not buy from the internet unless you have verified that they are an authorized agent! all major manufactuters have policies regarding internet sales. Most companies discourage it, some will even terminate dealers and their warranties for it.

Do not buy from a non-authorized dealer. Check to make sure the shop you are buying from is an authorized service center/dealer so that you can take advantage of the maximum warranty provided by the manufacturer. To check who is authorized, go to the manufacturer's website and use the "dealer locator" or call the phone numbers on the literature you find at the stores and check with the manufacturers directly.

Oh, and by the way, Kickers are low quality, mid-range performing, mass produced SWILL.

The Boston G212, JL AUIO 12W3, and MTX T7512 all have less surface area, and are cheaper, but move more air.

Volume is a product of Surface Area and Excursion, called Volule Displacement.

Kickers have more surface area, but have little excursion. They also have ripple points on the square cone and surround that cause standing waves and cause cancellation. Square subs don't do a good job of reproducing linear soundwaves, and that is why no-one uses square speakers for sound quality specific uses.

Imma gunna hafta go wit carstereopro on this one. the lowest i go now adays is mtx. i used to be a huge fan of rockford fosgate, but they've recently turned a little junkier on their lower end. jl is ok, but I would rather see a boston go in first. you could also look at some of polk audio's subs- I've seen a pair that were great.
