i am wondering what i need to do to make my ipod work with the auxilary i have a cda-7894 and cannot find auxilary cables ....what do i need to do

I think there is a module you have to buy. Its something like this.

I hope that link works or just search "Alpine Ipod". I'm not sure if it works with your HU model. You'll have to research Alpine's website for that. My friend has the ipod cable and loves it. He says its the best thing he's bought in car audio ever. You can control the Ipod right from your HU. If your deck is pre-ipod then the only way to connect it is buying the aux cables on ebay. If you can't find those, I'd recommend a wireless FM modulator. I've used the Belkin TuneCast II and it works flawless. Plus side is you can move it from car to car to home with no installation at all.

If you have the 2006+ version and its a non dvd head unit, then you need to buy the alpine full speed cable and plug it to the back and fish it around to where you can access it with your ipod. If its older than that, and isnt a video head unit, then you cant. If it is a video head unit then there is a 100$ module you have to buy, which i have for my alpine iva-D310.

actually the Alpine made $100 KCA-420i will give you Ipod control via the CDA-7894 and charge the ipod at the same time too. If you want to go a cheaper route you can get the KCA-121B which is just an aux. input plug that plug into the cd changer input on the deck and will then have a wire coming out that will plug into the headphone jack of your ipod. So with that method you would have to select the song you want to listen to via the ipod itself, the deck will just play whatever comes out of the headphone jack.
