| v1, oil pressure gauge, X///M radio installed ok, got bored so I finally got to installing the V1/Oil Pressure Gauge display as well as cleaned up my XM radio install... I opted for the remote display because I like the factory look and I refuse to install the tacky Sony portable in my M. The alternative would have been to install the sony in my glovecompartment then run the infrared repeater system in the car, but I got to anxious and bought and installed this one. As for the remote, does anyone have a good place to install the remote... it comes with a display mount, and I thought that anyof you with aftermarket CD changers with a similar remote could help. The XM radio required me to install the antenna on the paint! ouch. I refused to do this so I placed it on the back shelf and it has worked out really well and with out having to paste an antenna to the paint. Robert 99M3 |

| never really had to monitor the Oil pressure gauge before. What should I look for besides a drop in pressure? I actually got the oil pressure gague because I needed the V1 holder. I seem to recall that JimP noticed a fluctuation in his oil press? hence leading to some engine work to katerina? Robert |

| XM radio service is great IMO. Sound quality is GOOD to great. Why? because tomorrow they are releasing a new cable that will enable me to interface the XM radio to the head unit directly rather than FM modulated. Then I think that the sound will be GREAT! Which I HATE!!! you can hear the slight FM hiss in teh background. The cable should resolve that. I'll let you know when I get it. The radio still cuts out sometimes when I park close to a building, I think its because of terrestrial directional satellite feed. But I'm not sure if it is because of where the antenna is or because of the satellite feed. It does act like a DSS though. When it is ouy, the signal is completely out, no in between. The XM has commercials, sirius doesnt. XM was out first and has a cheaper monthly fee. XM right now has more stations than sirius, Sirius wont be out till 2/14. XM is great I love it. I think sirius will be just as good but more expensive and no commercials. XM has a large selection of channels. Both systems will keep you from road raging.... There is a cable for XM radio so if your car comes equipt with Sirius you can use an XM reciever. Robert

| Depends... you can have parental block. And there is a disclaimer at the bottom of my channel guide that says "May Contain Explicit Materia" It depends on what channel. . . Robert

| I think it is 10 for XM, 13 for Sirius.

| I got mine from Eastern Motorwerks, V1 + Oil Pressure Holder. However it took a long time for them to send them to me. Jamie said that they were on back order or something. Something tells me that these kits arent ready made. I recieved the kit in december to find out that the cutout in the back was never made correctly for the gauge holder. I sent it back to exchange it for the correct part but he sent it back to me with what looks to be a hack job (basically him hacking away at the section that needed trimming). I got tired of waiting and fed up, that I made the holder fit. I give them a 2/5 stars on CS and quality. I would probably do it again if I had to because its the only one that I have seen in that configuration. Robert
