I actually did a whole report about satellite radio. It looks pretty exciting except I still have a few concerns about reception during storms and in certain remote areas. I am gonna wait a bit before buying one, I'll let someone else be the guinea pig. Also I'm not too fond of the fact that we will have to pay for it every month, who needs another bill to pay. Both XM Radio and Sirrus do offer some commercial free stations which will be a huge plus.

If anyone is serious about buying one of these units, make sure you decide which service you want to subscribe to, because just like cell phones only certain receivers can be used with certain services.

Another thing to keep in mind is that radio stations are also looking at upgrading their current technology to compete with satellite radio, so if you can wait you may one day get better quality radio for free.

I have the feature on my cd player. But I never listen to the radio. I got like to many CD's. But i was thinking about subscribing. and one know how good or bad it is?

Ya gotta buy a receiver and an antenna for it even if your CD player says it supports it. Basically it's saying it supports the XM Receiver that you plug into it. I think I'll wait before I get into it. Until then, my custom MP3 player gets the job done.
