High Pitch Whine?

It goes with the RPMs of the car... I already know the people who installed most of the electronic equipment in my car before I bought it had to be on crack.. Anyone know what might be causing it?

Is there an aftermarket system in the car?

Head unit and amp.. I don't think the speakers are, but I could be wrong..

Usually the whine comes from a bad ground on the amp. Make sure the amp has a large enough ground wire (at least the size of the power, hopefully 8 gage min) and that it contacts a bare piece of metal. The ground wire should be nore more than 2ft long, the shorter the better. If it appears to be grounded ok, it is most likely that the RCA's from the HU to the amp run near electrical wires, the transmission, or are not properly shielded (bad quality). In this case you should rerun them, towards the side doors, because they are probably ran down the middle of the car. Maybe even think about upgrading the RCA wires while you are at it.

I heard something about running running the 3 different kinds of wire down on the side and one down the middle... Or something like that.. Anyone know the order?

You always want to run the RCA's separate from the power and remote wires. You will usually be ok running the power and remote down the middle of the car, but definately try to run the RCA's down the sides
