e30 325ic Subwoofer Locations

Is there any where else in the e30 325i Convertible to put some subwoofers? I want to keep the back seat. I just want more sound into the cabin. I dont have a ski bag cutout because there is a rear defroster in its place

only a few choices:

Sub Box in the trunk

Custom fiberglass enclosure behind the rear seat. There are two metal frames, one for the seat and one for the back panel of the trunk, it is possible to build custom enclosures in there.

Footwell of the passenger side, again a small sub in fiberglass enclosure.

I have not tried, but I thought about subs in the rear side panels, where the rear speakers currently are. you would have to build custom panels but there should be enough room for subs in there.

There are some kits for installing BassLink (self-powered) subwoofer with a "QuickRelease" mount. Just go to eBay and type into the search box, "BassLink Install" and you'll see some of kit options. At least with the option of quick removal (list 60 seconds), you can stop agonizing over the way limited space problem that is endemic to BMW convertible owners.
As for the location -- put it wherever you want; the low frequency sound will come though more or less unidirectionally.
