BMW sells an auxiliary cable to plug in an iPod. Takes all of 10 minutes to install.

Not only that, this is largely unneeded.... There is a Radio transmitter that fits on top of the ipod that transmits at 87.5 mhz FM Radio waves.. just set that to play whatever, then tune ur fm radio to 87.5 (I think) and then ur done. It just plugs right into the headphone port on the ipod
