| Nakamichi head units are very nice, audiphile quality, and not all blingy like Alpine and other brands. Good choice IMO! I heard the old 45-Z I think it was with some MB Quarts and it sounded awesome! It also goes exremely well with the E36 interior! Last edited by Greg : 05-17-2004 at 05:42 PM. |

| its a good CD unit, its very popular with us E30 crowd, I dont have one but man Id really like to. They match the interor really well and they sound excellent. I wouldnt hesitate to get one if I had the coin. Alpine is nice but the green doesnt match with the amber BMW lights. |

| yea i know that they have some of the best home stereo shit out there. i have to cd players from them one is the CDPLAYER3 and i just bought the mb-8 2 years ago and they sound so smooth and nice. the cdplayer3 is 13 years old and i havent had to have it serviced once. it has provided me with trouble free maintainence for 13 years so if they build car decks like they do home componants then u should be all set. although my dad had a alpine deck in his old E30. it went through 3 other cars before all the leds on the display blew. it was 15 years old. i replaced it with the 9811. i love it and i hope it is as reliable as the old one. either way alpine or nackamichi u cant go wrong.

| Nakamichi has a huge reputation for being an awesome brand. I own some of there home audio equipment and its second to none. I would say that it is on the same level as McIntosh. You can not go wrong with a nakamichi.

| Naka is very very good, There are some nicer brands but naka is still very very good simple easy to use and very very good sound quality, Headunit is important but i think amps and good speakers are almost more important.
