... It's really simple now that I've done it once... My main problem was dealing with the amp, but that was as easy as hooking my remote turn on to my power antenna wire and it worked fine. The hardest part was pushing it back in with the wires in the way honestly.

i have just purchased an e36 and bought a wiring harness for my deck that i had in my previous car. im fairly sure i hooked every wire up correctly but the front speakers dont work. and the only reason that the back ones did was because they were running off of an amp through rcas. it was late when i did was working on this so i just gave up and shoved the stock cassette in there and the front speakers work again. anyone want to through out some help?

this may sound wierd....but go hook up the wiring harness again. Then go press your power antenna to some open wire on the remote turn on for your amp I'm willing to bet that your speakers up front are still hooked up to your stock amp.

ohhhhhh god it makes soooo much since now. so youre saying that since i swtiched decks the stock amp isnt turning on because i dont have the remote hooked up anymore. that just goes to show that reading wire diagrams beats the hell out of color coordinating the wires. i cannot thank you enough ![]() Last edited by scrant : 05-08-2004 at 08:30 PM.
