| those with alpine headunits: are you running 10g wire? i am going to install my alpine 7894 soon; i have got the wiring harness and the euro antenna adapter... but i am not sure if i need the 10g wiring kit as well? can anyone chime in with what you did? on crutchfield, it says they recommend a 10 gauge wire to run to the battery because the V-drive system( 60x4 internal amp ) is so powerful. i have an external 200w amp powering my stealthboxes right now, and i am wondering if i still need to get the 10g wires. what did you guys do?

| im not sure how they would want you to do it because the power wire that comes out of the factory wire harness from the head unit is like 16g or 18g. ive never mixed gauges when connecting 2 wires so i cant really help you there. but there should be a fuse and a circuit breaker on the power wire already so its safe to run straight to the battery. but if there isnt one there, pick some wire up at radio shack or somewhere that has a yellow fuse and circuit breaker in the circuit(i cant remember the amp number but i know its yellow, it might be 15) and butt connect that to the power wire from the harness and run it to the battery.
