Which system to choose?

Hey,

I am in a process of choosing a 10” Subwoofer. These are the 3 I have it narrowed down to. JL W710 with JL 500/1 amp, JL W6v210 with JL 500/1 amp, or JL W3v210 with JL 250/1 amp (I am getting 35% discount on any of these sets so just let me know what the best value would be to go with). Also I am planning on keeping my stock Harmon Kardon system in just disconnecting the 2 woofers. How should I place this single sub? Should I put it in a sealed box or ported and fire it through the arm rest in the back of the E46 330ci coupe? I was thinking of placing a piece of plywood behind the box with the amp centered on it and covered with grey carpet, the same in the trunk to make it look flush. I am going to run the power off the stock BMW battery in the trunk since JL amps are self regulated. Please let me know any suggestions or comments.

I picked up the JL 10" W7 and JL 500/1 amp with 4 year extra warrenty tonight. I am going to get it installed tommorow morning. Let me know what you guys think about the set up? And should I do enclosed box or ported box? Face it towards the trunk or face it into the cabbin though the arm rest in the back?

W7 no question. Sealed box if you want sound quality, but if you want everyone to know you don't have dynamat, get a ported box. Only 500 watts to a w7? Get a HiFonics Brutus amp and pump 1500 watts.

I got my sytem installed today and it hits pretty good. I already know that I need a Head Unit and Component speakers maybe even a new battery. Let me know what you guys think about what to do on the frame of the box. Thanks

I am looking for at this set up. Let me know what you guys think about this set up with my current 10" JL W7 with a JL 500/1 amp. in a sealed box. I think I am only going to do components for the front, what do you guys think?
