Speaker setup help??

I just had some polk speakers installed in the footwells of my 98' 328 and a pair of alpine type S speakers in the back. The speakers and tweeters in my door panels are stock and I have a new Pioneer head unit. Right now my speakers do not sound too great and I am wondering if an MTX amp that I have from my previous system will help make my speakers sound better. Is there any way to get some bass out of this setup I have without adding heavy subs? Sorry for the all the questions-

yes addding the amp will make all the difference. Decks dont put out good power. Slap the amp in there FOR SURE. Set ur high pass filter low so u can get the most bass out of the speakers. and dont use the bass boost on the amp.
