| audio questions i bought a 1994 325i and I have some questions about the audio system. First off, how can I find out if I have a factory amplified system? The system does not have the CD changer in the trunk, and I am reluctant to find the 10 speakers i thought all 325s came with. Finally, where can i get the little BMW tool that looks like an allen key with 5 sides so i can take out the stock system and put my aftermarket one in? thanks for all and any help

| All audio systems are amplified. I don't believe any stock (non upgraded and most upgraded) have an external amp...it isn't very cost effective to have it anywhere but in the head unit. I don't know the e36 very well but I do know the e46 audio system very well (i have a full speaker system in mine). If you do plan on upgrading i highly reccomend an external amp for the speakers. As for the allen wrench i've never heard of a specific tool for this...there is a bit for most screw drivers with removable heads that is a star that is what i believe you're thinking of. good luck
