CD changer/MP3 player question

I think I might know the answer to this, but I want to be sure.

Right now I dont have a CD player for CD changer. I would like to get a new Head Unit, but there really arent any out there that will keep the 'BMW look' inside.

So my next option was to just get a CD changer (mine should have one already but doesnt)
Now, a stock changer only holds 6, but I would want more than that since I would not have the abilty to put in other CDs easily from the car when I want to. Im stuck with the 6 in there if I cant or dont want to stop and change them.
Same holds true for larger ones.

HOWEVER - what about one that also plays MP3s? I can fit a ton of MP3s onto one CD, and just 6 CDs should be more than enough for me to get practically everything I would want.

BUT THE QUESTION IS
Will the stock head unit work with a new MP3 CD changer? The Unit is already wired for a Changer, but will a newer (perhaps more than 6 CDs) MP3 changer work with it?
I think Yes since its the CD changer thats playing the music - but the head unit has to control it.. so thats why Im not so sure.

So yeah, any help would be appreciated.

If i wanted to keep the factory estero and get a MP3 CD changer I would go with this. http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
It will work with no probrems, but it's up to you.
