E36 6 cd changer error

I have a 95 e36 m3 with the 6cd changer and it has all of sudden stopped working on me. after repeated attempts to take the cd cartridge out the green light will not come on and it wont come out. This happened abruptly while driving and as i tried to switch from cd 6 to 4 it said 4 NO DISC and the same for disc 2. for the rest it just says cd error. any suggestions?

A fuse? I dont know. I have the same car with the same cd changer and I am not that happy with it, I just cant bring myself to get rid of it. For one thing, it skips, its real picky with cds, and if the cd is scratched up even just a bit, it will skip. I kind of want to get a new one but having 6 cds to play is cool, and no other face unit matches with the orange lit interior. Seems like all the new faces are too bright and would probably get annoying after a while.

There is an alpine unit that matches the interior.
