What to do with $500? + Suggest me a good component set

Well... I can either buy my friends setup and haev money left over, seen here.. :




amp = bd1000.1 power
subs = HX2's
ppi capacitor w/ digital readout

... or I can buy a nice component set+small amp to drive them... Then use the small wedge+JL 10 Ive got in the eclipse pro temp until I get money for my own box+subs+amp.

What should I offer him, money wise? (or should I walk away altogether?)

What is the best component set? This same friend has some Bose speakers in front, Infinity 6x9's in his benz, they sound EXCELLENT... not sure what model for either...

i would walk away and get a nice set of Focal Utopias =) the best sounding speakers for there price range. Simply amazing. You can find them for a lot cheaper on ebay. The focals are studio quality speakers. PM me if you want any info about stereo systems.

I have a set of Orion HCCA comps in my car, they sound real good, and you can usually find a set on ebay for pretty cheap. I like focals also, not too big into MB Quarts, too harsh for me.

i always had a thing for diamond audio hex components kinda on the steep side though but well worth it if you decide to drop the cash for them.
