| NOOB wiring question, monoblock amp to DVC woofer... I have a Memphis pr124d sub in a sealed enclosure I threw into the car Saturday with a 2 channel MTX 50wx2 bridgeable amp. It sounded great with the 2 channels bridged and following some wiring instructions from a rockford fosgate tech site which had me running the positive to one VC with a line running from pos to pos on the other voice coil, then the neg of the other channel to the other VC and again run a line from the neg on that VC to the neg on the other VC. It sounded great, I was very pleased with the results. That said it was very hard to throw down another $200+ today for the Memphis 250d monoblock sub amp (250 watts at 2 ohms). It has 2 pair of lines out, like the MTX, so I hooked it up like it had been with the MTX and the output is dismal compared to before. What is the correct way to wire this amp up to the 4 ohm DVC woofer? |

| Most mono sub amps have two sets of outputs on them(they look like a 2 channel amp). If yours does not, and has only one set of outputs, then run a nice fat set of wires to the first set of terminals on the sub, and then jumpers from those terminals, to the other terminals. Keep the + with the + and the - together with the - . By the way, you payed to much for the Memphis.

| Also, if you dont need that much power, you could get a cadence A5....smaller brother to the A7....... http://www.caraudioforum.com/vbb2/sh...hreadid=152490

| I finally got everything sorted out and love it, very loud but not at the sake of sound quality, now I need new front components. I payed $132 for the PR124d sub and sealed box, and another $200 for the new 250d. How much should I have paid for this stuff? |
