gettin no sound from speakers.. new deck..

hi, im new here cause i got a question.
Im installing a alpine headunit in a 92 325i. i used a wire harness to directly connect to stock harness and hooked up the alpine. i get power and everything, but dont get any sounds from the speakers.
is it because the stock amp?
do i have to bypass it and run speaker wire to all the speakers of the car?

or could it be a bad connection w/ the remote turn on (blue wire)? It fell out of the stock harness and i stuck it back in, maybe i stuck it in the wrong hole?

i'd use the remote wire to connect to the antenna wire on your stock harness, check your HU's owners manual and check to see if the remote wire is in the correct harness slot, i believe they show a diagram of the harness and where all the wires go in it or the plug in area on the HU
