constant power problem w/ deck!

my friend just installed a new deck in my car but for some reason there isn't constant power going to the stereo unit, which causes the deck to lose memory everytime i turn off the car off, unlike the clock and date on the computer and ac/heater. This causes me to reset all the presets over and over again. Is there a fuse or something thats responsible for keeping the constant or what? pls help if you can! thanks!

maybe ur constant and the switched power are backwards? might wanna check that, but as far as i know, i dont know of any fuse or anything for it

checked but didnt see a fuse for it, Violet w/ White (believe it is slot 5 in factory harness) is the hot in accessory, run and start, Red w/ White (should be slot 9 in factory harness) is the constant hot, so might wanna check to make sure they are right, or get an Voltmeter and make sure your getting power from the wires
