Alpine CDA 9815 Thoughts?

well since this is the HU i am considering atm, i was wondering if anyone else might have one and would like to share their opinions, as with running the 10g wire, i can do that easy, but was wondering if it seems to heat up a bit or if it stays relativiely cool considering theres like no vent room in the E36, well i dont see any room for venting

well i got home from a trip and there was the box with my HU sitting next to the front door, so i unpacked opened up everything and got everything installed
the cd player is indeed a very nice HU, was impressed completely with it, although its got quite a bit of features and the hour i spent looking through it i still didnt quite have it completely figured out

newho, i dont seem to get any sound from the HU when i play CD's so i found a few things to give a try tommorrow

as for the install... UGHHHH, BMW's give no @!&*^@$ room for the HU wires and harness at all, whenever i have to mess with the wires and harness i just get furious due to the lack of room and no place to shove all the wires, i end up forcing the HU into the hole and hope to god i dont catch any wires and they dont start rubbing on the HU, or i'm scared poopless of breaking anything

newho, it took maybe 5 hours to install everything? i ran my 10gauge power wire from the battery to the HU all under the carpet, and like always, i soldered the wires from the HU's harness to the little metal plugs on the plug in harness so no splicing required and less wire to shove into that mother!*(@#ing tiny hole
