Installing RF 401s amp & RF 12"x2 Subs

I'm planning to install a new amp and subwoofer but still using my stock harmon kardon system. has anyone added a sub and amp while still using the stock system? How PITA is it to get the stock amp to work with the new amp and sub?

since the rockford amp has a built in high to low input converter all u have to do is put thespeakers in the right box and ur battery is in the trunk so just get an 4ga amp kit and then tap ur input from the rear speaker wires and u get the remote wire from the factory amp that is on the left quater panel of ur car easy may take u about 3 to 4 hours..... the bass may be a lil muddy but thats what happens when u use the factory radio.... that doesnt mean it will sound real bad u just have to make ur adjustment right
