Be weary of (So called) Raymond Griffiths.

He goes on differnt forums and looks at buying parts. I do not know exactly what his scam is but I did a google search on him and found him to be making the rounds on high end auto forums. Land Rover, BMW and so on.

Here is a form letter he sent to some one on a land Rover forum

"Hello

I am interested in buying the Rack, Ladder & A-Bar that you have placed for sell now, and I would want to enquire about the present condition of the above mentioned, as well as some detail about you. I expect this timely enough.

As for the payment, I would need you to get back in touch with the last asking price as I will be paying with a certified cheque.

Lastly, please forward to me your full company's (or house address, telephone and fax) details as I will subsequently prefer reaching you through these facilities.

Should you need to reply to me, Please get back in touch with your details to me at:topetemi81@yahoo.com for a quick reply. "

And the one he sent me was the same exept for the parts. He sustituded "Rack, Ladder & A-Bar" for "Rondell type 21 rims"

I shut him up by sending him the following reply.

"I collect all funds for any transaction I make via PayPal. You do not Need a PayPal account to pay for an Item. I am PayPal Verified and I need only send you an Invoice via your email and you pay via credit card. When transactions are done in this manner, it assures two things. !. I am assured payment and 2. you are assured your product and in the condition advertised or PayPal will refund your money provided the items purchased are returned to the seller."

I never heard from him again. I guess it was the "I am assured payment " part that was unapealing to him.
