wheel buying horror story! Wheelsnext.com is the worst!

I must warn this story is painful and long! Those offended by terrible customer service should not read! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Part 1:
So let me begin. It all started about 5 weeks ago when i first called wheelsnext.com to price out and purchase a set of wheels for my new FX35. I was quickly helped and pointed in the direction of some 20" Gianelle V5's that the guy told me was black with a 2" mirror polished lip. Excited, the wheels arrived a week later. however this excitement faded when i opened the box to find that the wheels had 1/2" machined lip, not polished. I called back and explained the problem and was told by the sales rep that he never told me about the lip. Thank god i work at a call recording company and have all my calls recorded and saved, so i played them back to the customer service manager. They apologized and said they would swap them out. however, they didn't have any 20's in stock that i liked so i had to upgrade to 22's unless i wanted to wait another 30 days for them to order them. So an increased charge to 22's and an $80 return shipping fee that i graciously decided to pay just to get this over with. Had i decided to cancel the order they would have charged me 10% restocking fee as part of their return policy.

Part 2:
So it would seem that would be the end, and every thing would work out fine...again i was horribly mistaken. I recieved the 22's about 1 1/2 week later and they are awesome. They are exactly what i wanted so i take them to go and be put on and....wrong fitment (Hub size was 1/4 inch too small)!!!! So i call up my rep and yell at him, he begins to say that i am lying and that i should take a picture of how they don't fit. I get irritated and the tire shop guy gets on the phone and starts argueing with this guy. the rep tells me to call back tomorrow and he will go and measure the other set he has to see if what i was saying was correct. Sure enough, i get an appoligetic phone call back saying he made the mistake.

Part 3:
So now what....they tell me that i have to send the wheels back, however this time they will pay the shipping....but what they won't pay for is another $80 i have to shell out to get the rims packaged correctly at UPS. The process is taht they are going to be shipped back, the hub will be bored out bigger, and then shipped back to me. I agree because i have already sunk money into this, and to be fair, the wheels/tires package was $800 cheaper than any other vendor. So back they go...and i hear nothing. 2 weeks goes by and after about 15 messages i finally get through to him and he says he has been really busy. Well the wheels are confirmed on their way back and should be here by Friday.

I just thought i had to share this story because it was sooo unbelievably bad! The best part is I asked him to refund me the $160 i shelled out (should have been more for the inconvienience) and he refused! Since, i have been trying to get ahold of the Owner but they all know me there and no one will patch me through to him. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH WHEELSNEXT.COM!!!!

sorry for the long story. hope it was worthwhile. I needed a place to vent my frustration. Thanks for listening.

-Heath

That sucks. Sorry for your troubles. Be sure to write a letter to the Better Business Bureau. In the future...I suggest www.rimpro.com They'll do pretty much anything short of servng you a hot turkey dinner with gravy to make things right.

Well what a surprise, i recieved the wheels, and they actually fit. WOW...however my pain doesnt end there. So im driving the car and when i hit 60mph the wheel starts to shake....they were supposed to come fully balanced!!! This place is absolutly the worst, im just glad the tire place felt bad for me and did the balancing for free. Ill post pics when i get some.

Be aware of WheelsNext!

Im very unsatisfied and upset with their service. I order a set of tires and rims a month ago (4 of May) and I still waiting for the tracking number. I’ve been calling for two weeks now and the only answers I get are lies. Yesterday was the fourth time they promised to call me back with information. Las week they said the same twice and the week before as well. I’m tired!

I order the set of tires + rims on May 4th. I was billed the same day!
After a couple of days they call me to charge me the taxes. I ask if they were collecting the taxes in behalf of the Canadian Revenue Agency and they said yes, so I agree with the transaction. They bill my visa card for $ 1,670.00.

I call on May 19 trying to get the tracking number of my order and they don't have any tracking number for me but they promised to call me back once the order shipped.
The 20 of May it was the same history.
The 22 of May it was the same and they promised again! To call back!
The 23 of May they told me that it was a mistake with the color of one rim in the order.
The 26 they haven’t receive the order.
The 29 they told me that one of the rims was broken so they haven't be able to ship the order yet.
I ask for a full reimbursement and they want me to pay 20% when they haven't done anything yet.
On June 3 I call again asking for the tracking number they don't have any for my order.
On June 5 I try again but they haven't sent anything so I ask you to cancel the transaction they denied. I ask for a copy of my bill and they send me one for $840.63 whit no taxes in it and with some labour and brokerage fees instead of the taxes they collected from me.
I don't know where those extra charges come from. Their web page doesn’t mention any of those charges and specified that the Shipping, the Tire Mount, the Balancing and the Installation are for free.

I don’t understand the way they are billing me. What’s going on there!

They don’t want to let me talk with any manager or director in the company and they let me on hold at the phone for hours. They lied to me about the calls and about my order and they don't want to give me my money back unless I paid 20% for something they haven't done and is not my fault. They don’t want to take any responsibility in this problem.

Be aware!

Be aware of wheelsnext II (second part)

The rims and the tires arrive on June 12, but they send the wrong rims in the wrong color.
My order was for a set of TENZO Type-M Version 2 Machined with Black and they send me a set of TENZO Type-M Version 1 Black.
Disappointed with this lake of care and disrespectful service I call Wheels next the same day. After hours on the phone I got to talk with Dayron Rubio (manager of something at Wheelsnext) who recognize their mistake and who gave me two possible solutions.

First: He told me that in Canadian cases like mine usually Fedex doesn’t pick up the merchandise at home. So that I should send the merchandise to them and they will reimburse me the shipping money and send me the right order this time.
Second: He proposes me to keep the wrong merchandise they send to me if I accept a “fantastic” deal from them. So he offers me the set of rims originally I order (Without tires, bolts, etc) for $340 dollars. He says I can sell easily here in Canada the first rims they send to me. I told him that I’m not a sales person and that I’ll lost money, because now I should pay for the mounting, balance and change of the tires mounted in the wrong rims plus time (Time = Money).

I proposed to Dyron Rubio that they can send me the right set (tires and rims) and when delivered by the Fedex guy this last can take the wrong set back to them which is a current practice or that I’ll send to them everything if they just reimburse me all my money. The suggestion was to choose one of his solutions. Feeling a little coerce by the situation and the solutions proposed I took the second option. Anyways I was afraid to send them the merchandise and due to their inefficiency lost everything. I was really tired to be losing my valuable time on the phone trying to talk to them. The same day they debit from my visa card $340.

I’ve posted the rims for sale but until now I haven’t gotten any answer. Today is June 24 and the new wheels (rims) are not here (they haven’t arrived!) neither a tracking number nor a shipping confirmation.

They just manage to: sell me a new set of rims, to make me accept the wrong merchandise they send to me, to become a wheels (rims) dealer, to waste my summer waiting for a summer set of tires and rims that probably will arrive when the summer is gone, to waste my time and to far spend more money than planed.

Dayron Rubio told me that for the rims to arrive it will take the same time it took the wrong set to arrive. I never understood if that will take another 5 weeks or just the week usually it takes after shipped. It has been more than a week (12 days) so I’m thinking that probably they will continuing abusing of me keeping me waiting another 4 weeks for the rims (wheels) to arrive.

Be really aware!

Sorry that you had to go through that. But I am glad you shared it. I have been looking at WheelsNext and was thinking about getting my wheels for the Touring from there. I think I will go with the rims I liked from Bavauto. They may not be the cheapest but the are great with the customer service.

Guys, keep in mind that in companies like that, speaking to a manager would not help because every one all the way up to the owners know what is going on and approve of it. The Managers and owners are just better Bull $hitters, thats all. LOL...

Thanks again for the input
