My low mileage (120K miles) rust free 1997 328i 4 door, 5 speed manual, Sport Package, Black (Schwartz 668) w/tan leather is a three owner vehicle. The previous owner was a low-mileage driver (lawyer in MA who only drove to the train station), and he bought it off of BMW lease in ME. I commute from NH to MA. Has been garaged and carport parked. I have all of the records from both of us.

There's a lot of information in the ad as I don't want anyone thinking I omitted any flaws. Honesty is the best policy. Sorry if it is a long read!

Nearly loaded (everything but the upgraded OBC):
-ASC Traction Control
-10 speaker Harmon Kardon Premium Sound system w/subwoofer on/off
-Factory 6 disc CD changer
-Heated power front sport seats (heat works 100%, both sides)
-50/50 Split folding rear seats
-Dual zone digital climate control (panel replaced by 2nd owner for pixels going out)
-Power sunroof (tilt/full open)
-Full power windows/mirrors/locks (all work 100% you can even roll the windows up from outside the car with the key)
-Dual cup holder/ashtray/coin holder center console w/leather armrest
-Full size 16x7 inch Style 30 split-5 spoke spare w/good 225/50R16 tire
-All the standard features one expects from BMW - ABS, front airbags, 3 speed w/delay wipers, the BEST high beams I've ever experienced, A/C (works 100% nice and cold), etc.

Upgrades I've added and wear items that needed replacing or bracing, etc.:
-Autothority short shift kit from Bavarian Autosport (Full "Kit C" w/lower selector rod - work included ALL bushings/locking pin, etc. because bushings were worn out on the stock setup)
-Rear suspension recently done with Bilstein Sport shocks/O.E. HD rubber mounts, Turner Motorsport trailing arm bushing limiter kit & new bushings, SPC camber adjustable lower control arms
-Front suspension recently done w/lower control arms, M3 solid rubber offset control arm bushings (toe angle is set to zero degrees so it handles perfectly with no darting left/right on uneven roads!) and one new swaybar bracket replaced to keep it rust free
-K&N stock replacement air filter (doesn't need replacing like paper filters, just cleaning/oiling 30-50K miles and adds air flow & HP)
-Inspection II (Redline synthetic fluids in tranny & rear end, Bosch spark plugs, valve cover gasket, cabin micro filter)
-All four new Oxygen sensors (Bosch O.E. replacements done at 105,000 mi)
-Recent Bosch alternator (installed by previous owner around 80,000 mi)
-M3 factory stainless steel muffler from a '95 coupe w/all new hardware and brackets
-Water pump/t-stat/aluminum housing/coolant flush (done when the thermostat stuck open causing a no-heat condition, NOT an overheating condition don't worry!)
-Just changed oil & filter at 117,000 miles

Other removable upgrades that can be negotiated out if necessary, otherwise included:
-Smoke turn signal lenses (front corners/sides/red & smoked O.E. look tail lights, have all originals)
-Ireland Engineering Stainless Steel front strut tower brace. (It makes the front end tight so there are no squeaks/rattles, and turn-in is highly enhanced!)
-Bavarian Autosport aluminum rear shock tower brace (same as front and adds rigidity to the sheet metal that is known for fatiguing around the shocks)

Vehicle condition:
-Paint is in good glossy shape w/normal small scratches for the age - 8/10 (have kept up w/paint touch-up pen, so no rust on any edges).
-Interior is near perfect - 9/10 (why I bought it!) has the normal wear on the driver's seat bolsters but no holes, and the tweeters on front doors are missing part of the round plastic (also common). There are NO dash/door panel bubbles/cracks or any broken or worn out door panel clips.
-95% brand new directional performance tires - 205/55HR16 (2) Nokian WR UTQG 400 AA A, (2) Semperit Sport Grip mounted on the stock 16" sport wheels
-Dents - some minuscule impacts on the driver's side rear door when it was garaged by previous owner next to their Honda Pilot where one of the doors contacted it. I touched the scratches up and you can't see it from a distance. Also, the trunk lid area between the right light and license plate seems to have had a dent pushed back out and the paint cracked about 1" (Only point where I could see rust possibly forming). I have good pictures of this door edge and trunk.
-Brakes are good - 50% pad life in front, 75% in rear with smooth rotors (no grooves or rusty scale)
-Fuel mileage - averages 27-29 and over 30 mpg on highway trips below 75 mph

$6900 OBO - I've owned (4) of the E36 chassis cars, worked at Bavarian Autosport, was the Parts Manager for Dreher-Holloway BMW, and a BMWCCA member. I know my cars and have completed most of my repairs/upgrades myself. Major work was completed at Turner Motorsport, 3D Auto Works, and Bob's Imported Auto. I have over $9000 in this car, and wouldn't be selling it except for the need for something larger/more plush since undergoing 5 surgeries in the last 2 years. This is one of the best 3 series I could find. I have many pictures (50+) and will take some more after I detail the interior a bit better and put the 16" wheels on (posted 1 picture of it in stock trim), but you'll see I captured everything that would come up when the car is potentially test driven. -Will throw in both of my Zymol wax & cleaning kits (one small wax sampler case, one full large case, over $250 when new and the BEST in all-natural paint protection), Bavarian Autosport SR300 Oil Service Light Reset Tool with Engine Fault Code Reader - fits most BMW's 1988-2000 ($150), and 2 Kumho Ecsta Supra 711 tires (245/40ZR17 for the rear) for an AS IS price of $6900.
-I've had interest in the strut braces and smoked lenses separately. If you want to customize it on your own and remove these items for a lower price, that is OK. I'm also willing to be a free mechanic for you with any request that I have the tools for. I believe in these cars so much I'll make myself available for advice, simple work, etc. for anyone local!

Enough of you have brought up two good points I should have addressed in my listing:

#1 The A/C works 100% and blows nice and cold
#2 Brake pads have 50% left in front, 75% in rear and rotors are smooth.

Also, I just changed the oil with LubroMoly 10W40 MoS2 Anti-friction Super Motor Oil (my favorite from Bavauto.com) less than a month ago.
