| How much horsepower does this beast make?? Whats the lowest you are willing to accept for an offer? And does the car have any defaults??

1. Start with ellipsoids 2. Purchase 2 pairs of oem E39 5 series headlights. 3. Gut and open the E39 headlights. 4. Tear out the rings and HIGH BEAM angel ring brackets from both pairs of headlights. Need 4 pieces of E39 high beam ring brackets. The low beam brackets are really thin and doesnt look good. 5. Break out the dremel and go to town on the brackets and ellipsoids. Make them fit. Each high beam bracket will fit each of the low and high beams of the ellipsoids with a lot of dremeling and fitting. Without the high beam brackets, there will be a huge gap in the headlights. Some pics of my car above are without the 2nd set of high beam brackets so you see the gaps. 6. Purchase a demon eye kit and use the fiber optic cables and light box for lighting. Install them. 7. Now you will find a gap in the low beam from the actual projector lens and the E39 high beam bracket. Since the projector lens is small and held up by braces in the back of the headlight. Now measure the diameter of the ring needed and find a aluminum shop with a CNC machine. Give them the EXACT specs and have them machine out a piece of fit that gap. The piece I have was machined out by a friend who actually made the same setup. So there is only 2 sets of these headlights ever made. Took me about 3-4 days of dremeling and fitting to put the headlights together. The entire project took months however. Last edited by Reset : 04-07-2009 at 10:59 AM. |
